Sporting merger could be 'lift Bradford needs'
Could two of Bradford's biggest sporting teams be set to merge?
The merger of two of Bradford's biggest sporting teams could be
the morale-boosting lift that the city apparently needs.
That is according to Julian Rhodes, Bradford FC joint-chairman,
who believes that the football club should merge with the Bradford
Bulls, the Super League team.
He suggests that the pooling of resources could allow for the
sides to move forward with better effect, particularly if the
merger resulted in a new shared ground being built.
Mr Rhodes said: "Bradford needs a lift as a city, everyone can
see that and sport could be the catalyst for that positive change -
but only if there's some imaginative thinking that can provide us
with a true vision.
