Time Warner negotiating Shed Media acquisition
Subsidiary firm Warner Bros Entertainment could make £75m bid
US media giant Time Warner is negotiating the possible
acquisition of Shed Media, the UK-based television production
Shed Media confirmed that they were in offer talks with Warner
Bros Entertainment, a subsidiary firm of Time Warner.
The US company reportedly plan to make a bid of around £75
million for the British firm, which is responsible for shows such
as Supernanny and Footballers' Wives.
Last year, a consortium comprising of two funds private-equity
funds made tentative inquiries about a possible takeover bid.
Talks between the two sides collapsed earlier this month but
Shed Media continued to be open to any offers from potential
Time Warner is looking to expand its London division as it aims
to exploit new markets following the international success of some
of its US shows.
Shed recorded a 34 per cent rise in pre-tax profit last year due
to lower revenue costs and continued to post positive reports
