German logistics firm Dachser is purportedly looking to complete
the acquisition of four or five transport companies over the next
That is according to the managing director of the company's UK
operation Nick Lowe, who said that the business was ready to
aggressively expand its influence in the UK.
Mr Lowe said: "This will be the first of several regional
acquisitions over the next five years.
"We are looking for companies that are strong in their own right
in the UK market. We want them to be pallet network members and be
able to handle the type of freight that we have and integrate into
our UK and European network."
His comments come after Dachser completed the acquisition of
Leach Distribution, the Rochdale-based transport company.
