Hampson Industries could be set to enter business negotiations
Engineering company Hampson Industries may decide to sell off some its assets.
Birmingham-based engineering firm Hampson Industries may be about to enter business negotiations with potential buyers for parts of the enterprise after the company posted "disappointing" half-yearly results.
The Birmingham Post reports that Norman Jordan, chief executive of the enterprise, said the six-month period had been a difficult one for the company and now plans to strengthen its position by potentially disposing some of its assets.
He stated that situation the firm finds itself in could be dramatically worse considering the number of factors that have been affecting its performance in the marketplace, in addition to several programme delays that have occurred through no fault of its own.
"There is the foundation for a lot of improvement that we will start to see take effect in the coming months," he told the news source.
Last week, a statement from British business Sportingbet announced that the company was no longer in talks with Swedish operator Unibet about a possible deal.
