Business negotiations 'underway' for Coca-Cola and Honest Tea
Business negotiations may prove useful to seal the deal between Coca-Cola and Honest Tea.
Business negotiations may currently be taking place as the Coca-Cola Company moves closer to completing the acquisition of bottle tea and juice company Honest Tea.
An antitrust approval for the transaction has been granted by the Federal Trade Commission, reports Reuters.
The soft drinks giant initially took a 40 per cent share of the Maryland-based firm for $43 million (£26.9 million) in 2008 and allowed Honest Tea products to be distributed across the US with Coke's as part of an agreement that a full deal could be completed this year.
An agreement is reported to be close, two sources close to the deal are quoted as telling the newswire, although it states they declined to discuss details about financing and timings.
Sales negotiations may recently have led to the Cheshire-based food, animal feeds and fuel distributor NWF Group expanding its operations.
The firm purchased Evesons Fuels, which has four depots serving domestic and commercial customers, for a sum of £3.3 million.
