Chr Hansen 'on the lookout' for M&A activity
The Danish company is looking to find an attractive partner for a merger.
Merger and acquisitions (M&A) advisors may be required by Chr Hansen in the future.
This is because the Danish food ingredients company - which has been in operation for over 130 years - is on the lookout for M&A activity and so negotiation training could be helpful.
Speaking to Reuters, chief financial officer Henning Jakobsen noted "within the M&A landscape" the company is "evaluating opportunities from time to time."
"There are a couple of targets out there and we will continue talking to the targets," he added.
Mr Jakobsen was speaking after the group published its quarter three results for the 2010-11 financial year, which were described as solid.
Due to the strength of the figures, chief executive officer Lars Frederiksen noted expectations have been upgraded for the final quarter in terms of organic revenue growth from 12-14 per cent to 14-15 per cent.
Chr Hansen supplies probiotics, natural colours, and cultures and dairy enzymes.
