Fujitsu could be facing strike negotiations
Members of Unite are not happy at the treatment one of its union activists has received.
Strike negotiations could be on the cards at Fujitsu as members of Unite consider industrial action.
The reason behind the disatisfaction of the members is the treatment of a worker in the Crewe branch of the firm.
Trade union activist Alan Jenney has been put at risk of redundancy and has not been offered any chance of redeployment.
As his fellow workers see this as a case of victimisation, many of them could decide to take to the picket line in support of him.
Kevin O'Gallagher, Unite national officer for IT and communications, said: "All our members are asking is for Alan to be treated like so many other employees and supported in redeploying into another role, rather than singled out for redundancy."
He continued by saying that they will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and so Fujitsu - whose UK branch employs some 11,400 people - may have to consider union bargaining to find a resolution.
