GMB set for union bargaining?
Large scale industrial action may occur in the UK.
More than 750,000 public sector workers could go on strike in June in the UK.
This is because GMB - which represents workers from every part of the economy - has refused to rule out the possibility of industrial action occurring, BBC News reports.
As a result, some union bargaining may be required to try and avert a major upheaval to services in the country.
Business secretary Vince Cable will use a speech at the GMB union's conference to warn the organisation that an increase in strikes could lead to tougher legislation on the issue.
GMB general secretary Paul Kenny told the news provider: "I don't think that any strike in this country could inflict the sort of economic damage on our country that the banks and finance houses and frankly current government policy have done."
According to the group, one out of every 32 people working in the UK is a member of GMB.
