Sales negotiations successful between Britvic Ireland and Quinn's of Cookstown
Britvic and Quinn's of Cookstown have come to a sales agreement.
International business negotiations have resulted in the sale of beverage wholesale specialist Quinn's of Cookstown to Britvic Ireland.
Tennents Northern Ireland has agreed to relinquish the company for a sum that has yet to be disclosed.
The acquisition will see Britvic bolster its wholesale business offerings, as well as strengthening its position in the country.
Commenting on the sale, managing director for Britvic Ireland Andrew Richards claimed that the move would enhance the company's competitive position.
"Complementing Britvic's existing wholesale business, Quinn's Northern Ireland portfolio includes several 'must stock' brands that will help position Britvic as a supplier of choice for many outlets," he said.
Mr Richards added that the acquisition highlights the firm's commitment to wholesaling in Ireland.
Quinn's provides distribution and wholesale services to more than 800 firms across six counties and boasts a hefty portfolio, which includes Pepsi, Magners and Guinness.
This comes shortly after the European Commission granted regulatory approval to a proposed merger between Citrovita and Citrosuco.
