Samsung Electronics to purse sales negotiations?
The group could be set for a raft of acquisitions.
Samsung Electronics chief executive Choi Gee-sun has advised its company to aggressively pursue acquisitions in the healthcare and renewable energy sectors.
He added with the chip business growing at a rather sluggish pace, now is the time to branch out in to other areas, Reuters reports.
Because of this, sales negotiations may be used by the firm in the coming months on investment opportunities it deems acceptable.
"Samsung may be back on the acquisition trail by diversifying away from its core businesses of electronic components, mobile phone handsets and televisions," the news provider observed.
Last year, its parent company SAGR.UL made the commitment to invest some 23.3 trillion South Korean Won (£21 billion) in new businesses.
This means a range of negotiation skills may be required so the organisation can conclude deals.
Samsung - which has worked in high-tech electronics for over 70 years - recently unveiled the Galaxy Wi-Fi multimedia device.
