GMB workers at Scottish Water to go on strike?
Employees at Scottish Water are keen for no alterations to their pensions.
Industrial action may be pursued by the workers of Scottish Water if union bargaining is not successful.
According to Richard Leonard, GMB organiser at the company, strike negotiations will take place "in good faith" over potential changes to the local government pension scheme.
He added unless the government takes steps to safeguard the rights of employees "we may be left with no choice but to ballot GMB members".
Demonstrations were previously thought to be on the cards over a pay dispute, but a revised offer prevented people from taking to the picket line.
Mr Leonard continued by saying that GMB - which as a general union can be joined by any worker - will do everything in its power to "resist the raid of our pensions".
Workers in the NHS are also thought to be considering their position after it was revealed they are facing a pay freeze for the second year in a row.
