Bouygues Batiment International acquiring Thomas Vale Group
Bouygues Batiment International intends to buy the Thomas Vale Group.
Bouygues Batiment International might be looking for merger and acquisition consultants to help it with its purchase of the Thomas Vale Group.
Subject to the approval of authorities in the European Commission, Bouygues intends to acquire 100 per cent of the Midlands-based construction firm.
This is a significant step in Bouygues' UK expansion plans, complementing its existing subsidiary firms in the south-east, south-west, Wales and London.
Thomas Vale is expecting to produce a turnover greater than £200 million during the 2012 financial year.
It has more than 700 people in its workforce and has regional offices in central Birmingham and its headquarters in Worcestershire.
"We are confident that the vision and values we share with Thomas Vale will enable us to capitalise on the strengths of our UK construction subsidiaries," Bouygues UK Warings and Bouygues Development chairman Madani Sow said.
The London Borough of Newham and Bouygues Development recently came to a Principal Development Agreement relating to a £600 million scheme in Canning Town Centre.
