Car dealership in trans-Pennine acquisition
North west-based car dealership RRG Group has completed business negotiations that have seen it take over four dealerships in West Yorkshire.
The move across the Pennines sees it take charge of Toyota dealerships in Bradford, Silsden and Huddersfield, as well as Bradford's Lexus dealership.
Salford-based RRG, which is owned by the Japanese Marubeni Corporation and sells Toyota, Lexus, Peugeot, Mazda, Kia and Suzuki cars, revealed the plan is to be the biggest player in the industry across the whole of the north of England, not just the north-west.
In a message to customers at the West Yorkshire sites, joint managing directors Tony Cliff and Arran Bangham noted that they had been providing over 40 years of services.
They added: "Our principal focus is customer satisfaction and with our long and trusted experience, we are confident that you will continue to receive the service that you have become accustomed to."
At present, RRG has dealerships in the north-west at Altrincham, Bolton, Bury, Denton, Macclesfield, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford Quays, Stockport and Swinton.
