Sterling Infosystems acquires Acxiom business unit AISS
Sterling Infosystems has bought AISS from Acxiom.
Merger and acquisition consultants may have been used by Sterling Infosystems, as it has completed the purchase of Acxiom Information Security Services (AISS) from the Acxion Corporation.
This should boost the service and technology team within Sterling by adding a new and well-skilled group of workers, alongside screening options and innovative items.
Sterling, which is owned by San Francisco-based private equity enterprise Calera Capital, has made a number of other acquisitions recently.
Some of these include Abso, Screening International, Bishops Investigative Services and Tandem Select.
"The acquisition of AISS is a pivotal point in Sterling's history as it has well positioned us for future growth," Sterling chief executive officer and founder William Greenblatt declared.
President of Acxiom Scott Howe explained the move fits in with his company's strategy of tightening its investment and focus in its core business of "data and marketing services".
He added he is "confident" that customers will benefit from Sterling's "commitment and complete focus".
