Remark Media completes Banks.com purchase

The acquisition of Banks.com by Remark Media is complete.

29 June 2012

Banks.com employees could be engaged in contract negotiations with a new business, as the firm has been acquired by Remark Media.

This will result in Remark Media boosting its internet and digital presence, helping it to become a popular online destination for members of the public looking for financial advice.

A number of other related websites were owned by Banks.com, including MyStockFund.com, FileLater.com and IRS.com, but these will now become part of Remark Media's portfolio.

It is to integrate and redesign its newly-acquired groups and websites with DimeSpring.com, giving visitors a comprehensive suite of conversation, services and content relating to economic and monetary matters.

"Currently there are no dynamic online personal finance communities that offer easy access to expert advice, actionable content and shared user experiences," Remark Media chief executive officer Carrie Ferman said.

Banks.com provides vendors with targeted online advertising possibilities and users with finance-related content, including business articles and calculators.
