DI completes acquisition of IDC
DI has bought IDC.
Distribution International (DI) could have needed merger and acquisition consultants, as it has revealed it has completed the purchase of IDC Corporation.
IDC is based in Long Island City, New York and distributes safety, fire stopping, abatement and insulation products for industrial and commercial uses.
The firm claims it is committed to environmental considerations and is prepared to distribute construction supplies to international clients.
It strives to provide high levels of service and is time-sensitive in its deliveries, the enterprise added.
DI is owned by the Audax Group, which invests in lower-middle market enterprises and has offices in Boston and New York.
IDC president Thomas McQuillan said: "In joining DI, we will now be able to provide additional services and capabilities to our customers, while maintaining the standards of service that they have come to expect."
He said the acquisition will be positive for both customers and employers, adding that he looks forward to working with the new team and building the company.
