The Gap Partnership

Accumed Script acquired by iMedX

The acquisition of Accumed Script should support iMedX.

11 May 2012

Healthcare services and software firm iMedX might have used merger and acquisition consultants to support it in its purchase of Accumed Script's assets.

This transaction has now been completed, which has resulted in Accumed's Ohio clinics being added to iMedX's customer base.

It should boost iMedX's penetration in the state and increase the number of clients it has, while providing advanced technology to Accumed's business by utilising cloud-based systems.

Recently, iMedX acquired The Inner Office's medical transcription assets, adding its hospitals, clinics and surgery centres to its holdings, with these properties generally located in Ohio.

President and chief executive officer of iMedX Venkat Sharma said he is pleased for the "Accumed family" to join his firm.

Accumed customers will "benefit greatly from iMedX's paperless technology and innovative cloud-based healthcare information solutions", he added, claiming this will help them to comply with new requirements.

Mr Sharma and the present iMedX management are to lead the combined enterprises.
