BDRC Group acquires ESA
The BDRC Group has bought ESA Market Research.
Merger and acquisition consultants could have assisted in the acquisition of ESA Market Research by BDRC Group.
It is thought this deal will boost BDRC's annual turnover to over £20 million.
Dr Chris Tarrant, BDRC Group chief executive officer, said ESA is a "great fit" with the firm's existing businesses.
"We are confident that we can introduce their services to our clients and vice versa," he added.
ESA is a specialist in improving the experiences of customers for the organisations it works for, with these institutions including The Co-operative Group, amazon.co.uk, Sainsbury's, Booker, Mecca, Next and Iceland.
Some of the techniques it utilises are mystery shoppers, interviewers and more than 10,000 auditors.
It also provides in-house data processing and a telephone contact centre.
Chief executive officer of ESA Adam Donaldson said the tie-up will give the company the "unique opportunity to enjoy a significant improvement in both the experience and the spend" of their audience.
