Cisco completes ClearAccess acquisition
ClearAccess has been bought by Cisco
Cisco has revealed it has completed its acquisition of ClearAccess, including its talent and software department.
Contract negotiations could have had a role to play in the business discussions, which has resulted in ClearAccess' team becoming a part of the Cisco Network Management Technology Group.
The specific monetary value of the deal has not been disclosed.
It is thought the transaction will enable service providers to improve their delivery, monetise and manage their services, as well as enhance customer experiences and operational efficiencies.
Washington-based ClearAccess gives service providers with TR-069 standards-based software, enabling them to look after mobile and residential devices.
When the firm's intention to make the acquisition was revealed, vice-president and general manager of Cisco Network Management Technology Group Service Provider Applications Jamie Lerner said: "The ClearAccess acquisition reinforces Cisco's commitment to service providers by accelerating software architectural advancements in mobility, cloud and managed devices and video."
