Concept Two Solution and pharmaCline enter into merger agreement

Concept Two Solution and pharmaCline are to merge.

Concept Two Solution and pharmaCline have agreed to a merger that also sees the latter firm establish a new dental division.

A specialist in skin and skin structure wound care, pharmaCline is expanding into the dental market as a result of the merger with Concept Two Solution, which focuses on developing oral healthcare solutions.

Chief executive officer at pharmaCline Steve Keough said the deal "furthers the pharmaCline mission of providing breakthrough products in multiple growth markets".

His firm recently launched its Diabecline antibiotic ointment, which was handed the Bronze Award for 2012 Best New Pharmaceutical Product at the Annual Edison Awards.

Merger and acquisition advisors are likely to have been consulted prior to the deal going ahead and Mr Keough said he is "excited" to be working with Concept Two Solution, which was founded by Dr Charles Cox.

Dr Cox stated both firms "share a strong commitment to improving the lives of patients" and added the merger will result in "exciting synergies".
