Epicor completes Solarsoft acquisition
Epicor has completed its acquisition of Solarsoft.
Epicor Software Corporation may have used merger and acquisition consultants to ensure its purchase of Solarsoft Business Systems went according to plan.
The overall value of this transaction was $155 million (£96.5 million), which was paid through a revolving credit facility of $69 million and cash-on-hand.
Acquiring Solarsoft should improve Epicor's position as an enterprise business solutions provider for industries including print, packaging, automotive, building materials and lumber.
Solarsoft's skills and experience in process manufacturing should also enable Epicor to speed up the roll-out of initiatives in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals or food and drink markets.
Currently, Epicor deals in more than 150 nations and has at least 20,000 customers, with the firm owning offices and affiliates across the world.
"We are pleased to have completed this acquisition slightly ahead of schedule and excited to begin the process of integrating Solarsoft with Epicor," the firm's president and chief executive officer Pervez Qureshi said.
