GINSMS completes Inphosoft acquisition

A deal has been agreed that will see GINSMS take over Inphosoft.

GINSMS has completed a deal to acquire Inphosoft, subject to the issuance of TSX Venture's Final Exchange Bulletin.

Once this process has been completed, trading in the common shares of GINSMS will commence two days later.

Jonathan Lai, chairman of GINSMS, described the purchase, which may have required negotiation skill, as "very exciting" for the company.

"Inphosoft's deployment capabilities targeting mobile operators, financial institutions, media companies and enterprises offer GINSMS the opportunity to unlock the full potential of its Inter-Operator Short Message Service platform," Mr Lai added.

He stated the acquisition presents the opportunity for GINSMS to expand into SMS-related services in the mobile market.

Chief executive officer of Inphosoft Joel Chin said everyone at his firm is now focused on helping to bring about the synergy of the two organisations.

Mr Chin added the move is vital to achieving the growth and diversification strategies currently held by both firms.
