HAC and Kith confirm merger
Kith and HAC are to merge.
Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing (Kith) is to merge with Housing at the Crossroads (HAC) in a tie-up that could benefit from merger and acquisition consultants.
This will result in Kith owning 32 housing units, which will consist of eight non-time-limited apartments and 24 transitional residences.
Contract negotiations will see HAC transferring the ownership of three of its buildings to Kith - a four-unit development in Kirkland, a Bellevue duplex called the Windermere House and a six-unit structure in the region.
HAC's board of directors gave their approval to the combination at a board meeting on August 8th, while Kith's directors green-lighted the initiative on August 22nd.
"We truly believe this is a great move for both Kith and HAC and look forward to working together," Kith executive director Jan Dickerman said.
Ms Dickerman recently announced that she plans to retire and the search committee is now looking for another leader for the organisation.
