InterCore to acquire Legacy Group
InterCore intends to buy the Legacy Group.
InterCore Energy intends to acquire the Legacy Group in a transaction that should reinforce its focus on clean power technologies.
Chief executive officer of InterCore James Groelinger said a "fundamental personal and business principle" relates to the need for efficient use of energy and other resources.
Joining up with the Legacy Group through sales negotiations and an acquisition was described by the representative as potentially "the first in a series of investments".
He said these will aim to improve the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of energy use.
Legacy claims that it has a highly-efficient, low-power cooling system that can be used in portable data centres, as well as gas and oil power systems that are used within drilling rigs.
Potentially, these products could be adapted for residential or commercial use, it added.
InterCore typically focuses on providing acquisition debt, equity or bridge financing to high-growth enterprises that operate within the clean energy sector.
